Lovely Esperance

We came to Esperance after the Nullarbor to start our journey along the south-western coast of WA.

The plan was to stay for one night and we ended up staying for three!

It's a lovely, relaxing place with white sand beaches, a harbour with huge cargo ships that the kids loved, and a great foreshore.

A cruise to Woody Island provided us with views of sea lions sunbaking on island rocks and an opportunity to snorkel, although it was a pretty quick dip as the water was a tad chilly. Dylan and Lukas got to throw fish to swooping sea eagles, which was a spectacular sight.

And to top it off, the bar on the beach had live music and $10 steaks on Friday. Dylan volunteered to go on stage and played the lagerphone with the cool musician playing harmonica and guitar. He was renamed 'Big D' and the audience loved it.
