A little snapshot of our life for the next six months

Here's a few shots to show you our home for the next little while.

It's a six berth motorhome, that we all agree needs a name, we're just waiting for the appropriate one to evolve.

We can all drive and sleep in it, although the shuffle with the child seats when converting into beds is something that we'll have to get a bit more efficient with.

The beds were surprisingly comfortable on our first night.

It has a 3-burner gas stove, an oven/grill, fridge and hot water for washing up and showering.

There is also a microwave and airconditioning when we are plugged into a powered site, although we're planning not to do this all of the time, as the lure of free and yet-to-be-discovered campsites is strong.

The children are loving the novelty of it at the moment, so here's hoping that doesn't wear off!

Thanks to our first leg through Bathurst, it has already done a hot lap on Mt Panorama. It's 7.3m long and 3.4m high but the driving is really not difficult at all.

We have also managed to fill our first big tank of diesel and find our first 'dump spot' where the toilet cassette was emptied. While it is something we will undoubtedly get used to, the use of other toileting facilities will be encouraged at parks, servos and wherever bush wees are appropriate!

As most of you know, we sold the house and have whittled down our existence for our travels. If you can imagine our lovely home, full to the brim of furniture, toys, clothes and belongings....well here's what was left for the next six months, just a corner of the garage! This, together with our van, is now our house and home.
